Description
The fraction of time, expressed as a percentage, that the chip’s worker cores were actively
executing work over the last telemetry collection interval. The device firmware computes this as
avg_core_runtime / uptime and tt-telemetry scales it to a percentage. This is the device-wide,
headline “is the hardware busy?” signal — a low value means the worker cores are idle, typically
because the dispatch pipeline (prefetch/dispatch cores) or the host is not feeding them work fast
enough.
Unlike the per-command-queue metrics, this is a single device-wide value that sits directly under
the chip (no cq group). It is derived from all command queues combined.
Dispatch telemetry is only available on chips whose firmware bundle is at version 19.12.0 or
newer; chips below that version emit no dispatch metrics at all. This particular value further
requires worker dispatch to be enabled by the running workload — when it is disabled the underlying
reading is unavailable and the metric reports its default value of 0.

A value from 0.0 to 100.0. For example, 95.0 means the worker cores were busy 95% of the
interval. 0 is also reported when worker dispatch is disabled or dispatch telemetry could not be
read this cycle.
